About me

About Me

Hi, I’m Connor - the Man behind CBStills.

I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Scotland, capturing weddings in a relaxed, natural way. No stiff posing, no awkward moments - just real memories as they happen.

I’ve always believed the best photos aren’t the ones you’re told to stand still for. They’re the ones that unfold naturally. The quick glances, the nervous laughs, the quiet moments you didn’t even realise were happening — those are the images that mean the most years down the line.

My Approach

On your wedding day, I’m not there to take over, I’m there to blend in.

Most couples who book me tell me they’re not comfortable in front of a camera, and honestly, that’s perfect. You don’t need to be. I’ll give you just enough guidance when you need it, but for the most part, I let things happen naturally.

I’m usually the calm one in the room, keeping things relaxed, helping you feel at ease, and making sure nothing feels forced.

The result? Photos that actually feel like your day.

My Wife, Child and Boris the Beagle

My life outside of photography almost exclusively consists of time with my family; Elaine, Orla and Boris the Beagle.

A Bit About Me

When I’m not at weddings, you’ll usually find me outdoors somewhere in Scotland or tracking down a good coffee.

I’ve also got a 4 (and a half) year old daughter who’s already showing an interest in photography. We go on little “camera walks” together, which has quickly become one of my favourite things to do.

Photography has taken me all over Scotland, to places I probably never would have visited otherwise. I still don’t take that for granted.

FAQs

What types of Photography do you do?

I specialise in weddings, elopements and outdoor family sessions with a documentary style. I like to keep things relaxed and don't overly pose people unless I need to.

Do you require a deposit to book?

For weddings I take a £150 non refundable deposit to secure the date.

Full payment is due 30 days before the date of the wedding.

Why should I hire you?

I bought my first camera in 2015 and have been taking photos professionally since 2020. Over this time I have created a unique style of documentary photos whilst also capturing formal poses and always looking out for those intimate moments in between.

I will be with you for the majority of the most important day of your life, so it's a massive bonus that I am friendly and unimposing.

No wedding day is the same, I handle pressure with a cool head and enjoy the day with you.

How far will you travel?

For weddings I am happy to cover the central belt of Scotland free of charge, any further will incur an additional charge at a rate of £30 per hours travel from Stirling.

Are you insured?

I am! I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Let me know if your venue needs proof of insurance and I will be happy to provide.

How long does it take to get my photos?

It can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to receive your wedding gallery, depending on time of year. Most of the time this is closer to the quicker side.

For family shoots I generally deliver within a week.
